Ethnic Embrace is an idea that sprouted in the summer of 2003.
Questioning why we can't and how can we help make humans feel more comfortable: human beings, ethnics, men, minorities..the underrepresented.
As a whole we have become more knowledgeable and our involvements in the community prove we are growing. The ideas here are about:
Come tell us what's on your mind because we'd love to hear what you think while putting you down to some awesome resources you may not have known about....
We started this blog because we were sick of seeing the ethnic community be subjected to the services and resources offered to us. We love Penn State but State College has little for us in some regard. Where are the urban shops?! No REAL ethnic food! Barbers and salons? Beauty stores? Yeah, they’re here but not for us! It’s inconvenient and sometime uncomfortable.
So…
I mean to tell you that you don’t have to risk going to a hair salon where the hairdressers never handled your hair type before. We’ll tell you where to go or reference someone who may be able to help you.
Men, you don’t have to pay for a $15 shape-up at an iffy salon by an iffy barber. I know this bo’ J that does the-dang-thang! And I know you know people too! Let us in on and we’ll all be put down!
So maybe there is a place down here that does acrylic nails, does them well and are clean!!
We’d like to know!
Visit us at http://EthnicEmbrace.com and start sharing the knowledge!!
