Day 63
I am usually very easily motivated but lately it has been tough for me to get pumped about living and eating healthy. So, I am taking drastic measures to ensure I get back on track. Today at 2pm I will be working with a Kickboxing Instructor. I am going for the one-on-one instruction because I seriously need to get my motivation up. I am hoping to get a few free lessons (twice a week for 6 weeks) in exchange for filming them and airing a series on Girls Talk TV. This way I can post the videos online after they air on cable TV and you at home can follow along. I am also talking to a self-defense instructor so look out for that too.
This morning I began the P90x Yoga. I did the first 20 minutes which I am surprised to report that I conquered but ask me if I'm a little bit sore. I certainly am but I hope to be able to do the full hour and 20 minute session by next Friday. So my new routine for the next 2 weeks are:
WORKOUT
-20 minutes of yoga adding an additional 5-10 minutes each day
-kickboxing 2x/week
-100 squats 3x/week
-10 minute stretch before bed
FOOD
-drink 2 cups of water after waking up
-breakfast - 4 egg whites, 1.5 cups of steamed veggies (no more fried cabbage for bfast for a while), oatmeal or all wheat toast; drink 2 cups of water or tea
-snack - fruit shake with organic protein powder and fat free yogurt or almond milk or 2 pieces of fruit and almond or coconut milk
-lunch - turkey or chicken sandwich with lettuce (iceberg) or spinach and full fat cheese; drink 2 cups of water
-snack - 5 oz mustard or olive oil sardines or canned tuna or salmon(I absolutely love 'em);
-dinner - Flexible including wheat pasta and ground turkey (full saucer sized), 5 oz boneless chicken or 2 drumsticks and wheat rice with curry seasoning and raw salad/veggie (as I am known for eating whole tomatoes); 1 cup of green powder drink and 1 cup of water
Throughout the day I can have as much raw veggies as I'd like but I cannot add salt. Just a little olive oil, black pepper, apple vinegar and paprika.
I must admit that I am a little excited about this menu. My roommate started a new full time job today and so it'll be a lot easier for me to stick to this diet and exercise plan. I noticed when I drink the green powder mix it seems to help me digest my food a lot better and that's why I am going to begin to drink it with my dinner instead of with breakfast like I normally would. Here are the things that I have been consuming lately but I'll be saying goodbye to for a while:
NONOs
-processed OJ
-thick processed turkey bacon
-fried cabbage (ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
-processed turkey sausage
-pancakes and syrup
-hot wings (ahhhhhhhhhhhh)
-alcohol
-processed frozen fruits (man they went great with the pancakes)
Before I get knocked off my wagon and begin to gain too much fat (I am 6 lbs up from 108) I am going to get with this trainer, work my butt off toning everything, eat healthy fats and od on protein!
