supposed to be (sacred? mutually beneficial?) and why marriages are failing nowadays then maybe we would be better suited to make that decision when we got there. I look forward to getting married one day but to me marriage is only once and because of that I have a lot of training to do on my part. Currently, I'm too selfish with myself and my time, uncertain about all of the traits I can't live with in my spouse and simply not prepared to make that long term commitment.

What if I told you that you only have four years left to live?
How would that make you feel? Well, you better start considering the notion because that is exactly what some experts are saying is in store for us here on earth. There is a multitude of evidence and prophecies that (according to the History Channel) all seem to point to Dec. 21, 2012 as our nations doomsday. No matter what your beliefs are, the prophecies come from different cultures, religions and historical eras.
For instance: there is an ancient calendar created by the Mayans, who were obsessed with time. Some say the calendar is more accurate than even our current day. This calendar is known for it’s precise predictions such as eclipses thousands of year in advance, and Cortez March 15, 1519 arrival in the new world. It also foretold anthrax, Hurricane Katrina, and the devastating tsunamis. It is said the sun and earth will align with the Milky Way galaxy. This they believe will cause a major polar shift, which would be catastrophic. The Mayan reference a “dark mother”/black hole at the center of the galaxy, which science has already lent credence. This phenomenon only occurs once out of every 25,800 years. The Mayan calendar predicts nuclear war in 2008-2009. Catastrophe peaks in 2012. The calendar mysteriously ends on Dec. 21, 2012.![]()
There is also evidence of an oracle by the name of the Cumaean Sybil who lived in ancient Rome around 6th century B.C. She was highly regarded by the authorities because of her accurate predictions. She predicted the invasion and defeat of Hannibal 700 years before his time, also the emperor Constantine by name 800 years before his birth, and also was believed to have predicted the birth of Christ 20 years before his birth. So this is her prediction for us: the world will last for 9 periods of 800 years. The tenth generation that will begin around 2000 A.D. will be the last. She says it will begin with war, then earthquakes, and fire and ashes will fill the sky.
There is also an ancient Chinese text called the I Ching. It is a symbol system used to find order in chance events. It is in the King Wen sequence that the time line ends on exactly Dec. 21, 2012. It says that habitation will not exist after this date.
If that isn’t enough for you, there is also a prophet by the name of Mother Shipton who said, ” When pictures look alive and ships swim like fish and men soar in the sky like birds, then half the world, deep drenched in blood shall die.” Or what about the predictions of 1500 B.C. prophet Nostradamus? Or medieval Merlin who actually existed in 6th century Britain. He accurately predicted the British victory at Waterloo, the Nazi Holocaust, and telephones. He also predicts that the end is near.
If it’s the Bible that you go by, you need to read the book of Revelations which predicts the end is coming following floods, famine, and earthquakes. If you’re not into facts from ancient history, try this on for size: There is a project called WebBot Project, which was created as a predictive model of the stock market. It somehow started to predict world events like 911. It is said to predict nuclear war in 2008-09 leading up to devastating world events in 2012.
So if you’re not into ancient history or technology or religion, you should research the current day scientific evidence of a polar shift, which could of course be disastrous in itself.![]()
Now that I have given you all the facts, why don’t you weigh in on the situation? If we don’t have much time to live, do you feel like you are wasting your time?
